Hello everyone
A little sooner this time than the usual. Hope everyone's doing great. I just wanted to share some thoughts today, which we generally may not pay as much attention to as we would like, though it is right in front of us (or some of you would have!).
There are a lot of times in life you are made to feel guilty for wanting to live your life the way you you want to. Does that sound familiar? I am sure we all have gone through it quite often and so have I, more than I would like to admit to probably. Being a grown up makes you realize that it is just not the external factors that affect you, but what and who you around, it could be your family and friends too.
It is as simple as doing what you want, but we are always seeking permission and validation from our closed ones mentally, though physically of course no one is stopping you. These mental blocks are something that we need to work to fix, I m really not sure what is the right way to deal with it, cuz i'm sure everything has their own ways of dealing. However, I feel it is a step by step process of working towards the change.
First by figuring out the people that you seek a permission, it could be an inbuilt thing as most of us are trained to think that way since childhood and it sort of continues all the way into adulthood. I guess once you do that then it is about ensuring it works for both sides without anyone getting hurt, as this is the most tricky part.
At the end of it, it shouldn't even be a permission thing, we are very well free to do what you'd like in life without an answer to anyone (literally anyone). We ourselves tend to give power to others to manipulate us, make us feel guilty and that we are doing something wrong. Let's try to break that one day at a time.
P.S. probably a rant post, but please feel free to share your stories and how you dealt with it in the comments below. Until next time!
