A little fun post for the day!! This was something I had written a while ago and thought let me just put it to good use and why not? Sharing is caring after all.
Who doesn't love shopping? I'm sure everyone does, just has their own ways of doing it. Everyone has their own version of shopping needs and preferences, while some prefer to stick to the basic brands, which are good and safe all over the world, some of them are more the experimenting kinds and love picking up things from everywhere.
Nowhere does it say that fashion destinations have to fancy, high so, expensive or exotic locations. If I were to choose a best shopping destination in India, I would go for Goa (yeah, a little bit of odd choice, but that’s where the fun lies I believe). This may be due to the fact that growing up in Thailand, which is a holiday and a beach destination, I might be a little biased or inclined towards something that is more similar to home, but you would be surprised at what Goa can offer for shopping. There are many of those usual malls in Goa, that we are all used to, but the essence and the authenticity of the shopping experience in the place can only be found in those super cool markets that you just need to visit.
Anjuna flea market is one such place that probably has something or the other for everyone, it is always lively and bustling with people from everywhere. Best to get in to the whole holiday vibe! Practice your bargaining skills beforehand though.
Then we have the Saturday night bazaar (I have a special corner in my heart for these) where you the get some of the funkiest and coolest accessories and handicrafts, making you wanting to come back for more.
Calangutte square market has to be in the top three, for its total upbeat atmosphere. If you love those beachy looks, sarongs and da di da, you might want to glue yourselves to the shacks there.
P.S. Really sorry about the shutterstock images, it was a while ago and I could not find the originals from the trip. Do you guys any other amazing places in Goa, other than these? Do let me know!
