I know it's been a while and later than usual. Apologies for that, been a little caught up with other stuff, hopefully there will be more amazing stuff to share with you guys soon. Super excited for all the things happening. 2020 is off to a pretty decent start I'd say considering how last year went.
So I thought I would put up a quick food post today, a simple healthy go-to salad for any time of the day or night. All you need are a few ingredients which I am sure everyone has in their homes, it's that basic, but the outcome is amazing, yummy, and super light.
I love experimenting with salads, one of my favorites, not that I'm trying to be on a diet or lose weight, I just feel once in a while it's better to feel light and eat a bowl of fresh fruits and veggies (or meat). My mom actualy actually comes up with quite quirky, fusionized salads (indian, western, asian), with a mix of fruits, veggies, with variety of dressings. There are so many options out there and you can keep trying with whatever you have at that point at home, its just as simple as that. Also, confession: I am really lazy and love quick meals, but that are healthy, so yeah, this is what I do pretty often. Hardly takes 10 min, I am sure we all can spare that much time.
Looks yum doesn't it??
Ok let's get to this quick recipe for today's salad. All you need is a some:
- cucumber
- boiled peanuts
- boiled corn
- apples
- grapes
- green onions
- coriander
Yep that's about it. You can put in any veggies or fruits you prefer as well, tomatoes, bell peppers, pineapples, buts, etc, etc, the options are endless and as I said easily available in everyone's homes.
Just chop them up and put em in a bowl, season it with some salt, pepper and lime juice and tadaa it's done! Yep that's about it and trust me it's so refreshing and yum, that you'd keep wanting more.
Salads I believe are DIYs and super foods, so as I mentioned above just keep mix matching with whatever you like and play around with the dressing as well. Will definitely come up with more fun quick recipes for you guys every now and then. Hope you like this one. Do try to! ❤️
P.S. do you guys like salads?? What is your favorite salad? I do like ceaser salad as well, but it's different everywhere when you get it outside, so I prefer to make it on my own at home.
