Top 5 Spring Fashion Trends 2020

Hey you all,

Hope you doing well. Trying to keep up the momentum and not lose focus! It’s been a while since we spoke anything fashion, so I thought let’s do a post on that. Since we know winter is slowly fading out and it is going to soon be spring (now who is going to miss winters?? Definitely me!) and the trends talks have already begun, so why not discuss what is in and what is not?

Since it is 2020 I was expecting for some amazing things to take place, be it in terms of fashion or what not, so does it live up to our expectations? Maybe, maybe not. Let's take a look. Here are some of the top trends I could come up with after doing a bit of research and looking closely at all the recent fashion weeks. 

Bermudas

Ever thought Bermuda shorts can be a part of formals? Well you better start believing, because that is what 2020 has in store for you. You not only can pair them up with blazers, but also wear them as a part of matching suit. Interesting ain’t it? These can not only work as great office fashion, but also otherwise, for a night out or even casual outings, depending on how you match them. And the causal sporty version of them will always remain in style for a day out. 

Tiered

You have seen these around last time as well, but tiered dresses and skirts are still going to be around this year as well. Make sure you own a piece of them to give your outfits a vintage and gala feel. A girl can want to feel like a princess/queen right? Totally!

Vintage/Retro Prints

Miss those 60’s/70’s bright, patterned, colored, on the face prints? Guess what they are all set to make a comeback. The wallpaper designs plastered all over dresses, skirts, tops, blazers – you name it and they are on. Channel in your retro/bohemian styles with confidence

 

Crochet

Does not really sounds like a spring style? You might have to think twice on that because there are some new trendy amazing ways crochet are being used in fashion.  The crochet dresses, shrugs and tops have managed to stand out in the recent fashion shows and events, so get those crochets out that your grandma or aunts made you, give it a new twist and you are good to go for this new year.

 

Vests/Waistcoats

Long gone are the days when we thought vests and waistcoats were only for men. Vests and wasitcoats over dresses, as a part of formal clothing, on tops, on even Indian kurtis are here to stay. They have been in and around for a while now, but they now seem more apparent than ever. They are flattering, accentuate your body share, so why not show it off, while creating an edgy look.

 

Interesting ain't they?

The above mentioned are just some of them, there are other trends such as polka dots (ruling since forever – my favorite retro trend), neons, light faux leathers and fur, among others. Interesting mix of trends I would say. My image consultant mind is now on a roll and thinking what all I can do with things I already have or need. Maybe we will try some different looks and try to put them out?

Also, I was thinking should I do spring trends for men in the next post?? What say? I totally believe in equality. Haha. All the men out there do let me know your thoughts!
